The Baldwin Pops Band, conducted by Dr. Roger Jones, will present "Salute to the Greats" at7:00 PM, at the Orange Beach Event Center at the Wharf.
The band will play Air and Gavotte from Suite No. 3 by J.S. Bach, Finlandia by Jean Sibelius, Noble Men by Henry Fillmore, Mambo Greats arranged by Stephen Bulla, Finale from New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorak, two movements from Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Moussorgsky, and Salute to the Cinema arranged by Carl Strommen.
Three french horn players, Susan Unger, Dyann Landon, and Jessica Elder will be featured in the premiere performance of Dr. Jones' Laudis for Three Horns and Concert Band.
This concert is sponsored by the City of Orange Beach. In addition, the Baldwin Pops Band is sponsored by a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
