| Orange Beach 25th Birthday Block Party & Baldwin County Bicentennial Celebration |

The City of Orange Beach celebrated it's first 25 years and also commemorated Baldwin County's Bicentennial with a 'Block Party' complete with music, food, children's games & activities, demonstrations, historical remembrances and more.
The event was held Saturday, August 29 at the City's Municipal Complex located at 4099 Orange Beach Boulevard (Hwy. 161). From 11:00 am - 4:00 pm the parks behind City Hall overflowed with many interesting things to see and do. Music by Dave McCormick & John Brust kicked off the mornings activities with Brent Burns rounding out the afternoon time slot. A Recognition Ceremony at 1:00pm honored past Councils & Mayors, as well as long standing businesses in the community.
In Council Chambers, long time citizens talked about early times in Orange Beach and reminisced about by-gone days. The museum was open for visitors and the park adjacent to it will overflowed with exhibits from Baldwin County's history. Surrounding communities also set up displays showing where they've come from.
It was a great day with lots of interesting history to commemorate Orange Beach's 25th & Baldwin County's 200th.

A special Birthday t-shirt was designed by Visual Effects. During the entire month of August, orange shirts were worn by most city employees and by lots of folks in the community.
