Junior Lifeguard Course -
The Junior Lifeguard Course began in the summer of 2006. During the program, participants learn vital skills in all areas of water rescue. Students are instructed in the use of swim fins, rescue boards, rescue tubes, surf entry and porpoising. They also learn how to perform safe open water rescues and are taught CPR and First-aid to further emphasize safety and promote self-confidence. Physical training is conducted daily, which consists of open water swims, run-swim-runs, tube drags and conditioning runs. |

2007 Junior Lifeguard Program
Session 1 - June 4 -14; Session 2 - July 9 - 19. Class times are 1:00 - 4:30 pm. This program is designed to introduce participants to the skills necessary to work as a Professional Lifeguard. This program is open to children ages 9 to 16. Course fee is $75.00 per participant. |
