This course is designed to teach the swimmer about water safety and basic lifeguard procedures. During the program, participants learn vital skills in all areas of water rescue. Students are instructed in the use of swim fins, rescue boards, rescue tubes, surf entry, and porpoising. They also learn how to perform safe open water rescues and are taught CPR and First-aid to further emphasize safety and promote self-confidence. Physical training is conducted daily, which consists of open water swims, run-swim-runs, tube drags, and conditioning runs.

The pool offers a variety of swim lessons from beginners to advanced. Classes include Parent/Child for kids 6 months to 2 years old, Learn to Swim for kids 3 years and up, and Stroke Development for the more practiced swimmer at any age.

Public lessons $30/residents, $50/non-residents
Private lessons $100
4 two week sessions, Monday - Thursday
Public lessons (Parent/Child, Learn to Swim, and Stroke Development) are held at 9:30am - 10:30am, with one Learn to Swim session at 5:30pm - 6:30pm
